Document processing

word2md.online is designed to convert DOCX files in your browser whenever possible. The converter reads your Word document locally, extracts supported structure, and creates Markdown output in the page.

Files and content

We do not use document text, converted Markdown, or uploaded file names for analytics. Do not email private documents unless support asks for a minimal sample.

Analytics events

If Google Analytics is configured, the site may record safe product events such as conversion started, conversion succeeded, conversion failed, copy Markdown, and download Markdown.

Event parameters are limited to safe buckets such as file size range, conversion duration range, output mode, and failure category.

Image extraction

When a DOCX file contains supported embedded images, the browser prepares Markdown image references and an optional ZIP download. Image files are not sent in analytics events.
